What is Network Fee
Network fees are charges imposed by banking rails for processing payments.
Prime Remit fees are typically lower, while SWIFT network carry higher fees due to large ticket and real-time settlement, including fees from sender banks, intermediary banks, and the recipient bank.
Depending on the fee arrangement:
- Borne by sender
- Borne by recipient
- Shared
either the sender, the receiver, or both may bear the cost. These fees cover infrastructure, compliance reviews, and handling by correspondent banks.
